Denver Farmers Markets 2026: The Definitive Metro & Aurora Guide
The full 2026 map of farmers, craft, and art markets across Denver, the metro, and Aurora plus weeknight markets, First Friday art walks, holiday markets, and where to find free food if you need it.
A good farmers market is the best cheap morning in Denver, and the metro has way more of them than most people realize - well over 40 once you count the small neighborhood ones, the weeknight markets, the suburbs, and the craft and holiday markets that aren't about produce at all. This is the full map for 2026, with links to every market we could verify. We grouped everything by area so you can find the one near you, and we kept the weeknight and one-off events in here too, since those are the ones people always miss.
Read this first. Colorado market season runs roughly May through October, with craft and holiday markets filling in winter. Organizers set dates, hours, and sometimes locations season by season, and a handful move or skip a weekend. We cross-checked the 2026 details against multiple market and city sources, but a few disagreed on exact hours and end dates (City Park especially), so always tap the market's own link below before you drive out. See "What to confirm before you go" at the bottom.
The Big In-City Markets
The ones worth planning a morning around. If you actually want the good produce, show up early - the best stuff at the popular markets is gone by 11.
City Park Farmers Market
Saturdays, May 2 through late October, mornings, at the City Park Esplanade (Colfax and Columbine, 2551 E. Colfax across from East High). The big one for real food - 100+ Colorado farmers, ranchers, and food producers, plus live music. Sources differ on the exact hours and final date (you'll see 8 a.m.–1 p.m. through Oct. 31 and 9 a.m.–2 p.m. through Oct. 10), so confirm the day you go. cityparkfarmersmarket.com
Cherry Creek Fresh Market
Saturdays, May 2 to October 10, 2026, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Cherry Creek Shopping Center, east side (near Steele St, around First and University). Run by Colorado Fresh Markets, this is the largest and most polished market in Denver, leaning prepared-food and upscale, with free validated parking in the mall garage. coloradofreshmarkets.com
South Pearl Street Farmers' Market
Sundays, May 3 to November 8, 2026, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the 1400 and 1500 blocks of Old South Pearl St (between Florida and Iowa). 170+ vendors and one of the most pleasant markets to just walk, since it runs down a real main street with shops and restaurants open alongside. One of the longest seasons in the metro. southpearlstreet.com
Union Station Farmers Market
Reported for 2026 as Saturdays and Sundays, roughly May 31 to October 26, around noon to 6 p.m., at Union Station (1701 Wynkoop St). The rare afternoon market, so it's the one you can hit after a slow start. Smaller and curated. The downtown market has changed format in recent years, so confirm it's running before you go. listed at Visit Denver

Craft, Art & Maker Markets
Not everything is produce. For handmade goods, art, vintage, and the weekend-treasure-hunt feeling, these are the ones that matter. Several rotate locations, so follow them for the next date.
Horseshoe Craft & Flea Market - seasonal outdoor market, 100+ vendors across art, apparel, home goods, jewelry, and vintage. Named Denver's best flea market by Westword several years running. The single best one-stop.
Denver BAZAAR - the city's signature pop-up marketplace: makers, craft cocktails, music, hosted in different neighborhoods and building into a big holiday run.
Vibe Artisan Markets - free indoor markets with 130+ artisans, DJs, cocktail bars, and food trucks, often at The Arch in RiNo (3001 Walnut St). Good cold-weather option.
Denver's Community Market - every second Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., free, up to 100 local artists and vintage curators.
Tennyson Street Fair (Berkeley) - a street-fair-style market with 200+ local businesses on Tennyson between W. 41st and W. 43rd. More festival than farmers market, but it scratches the same itch.
Also worth following for rotating dates: I Heart Indie Markets, Colorado Markets, and Mollie McGee's.
Art Walks & First Fridays
Denver's art districts throw free First Friday art walks every month - galleries open late, plus street musicians, local makers, food stalls, and outdoor vendor markets (the outdoor market vendors come back in May). They're some of the best market-style nights in the city and they run year-round. 2026 First Fridays land on: Jan 2, Feb 6, Mar 6, Apr 3, May 1, June 5, July 3, Aug 7, Sept 4, Oct 2, Nov 6, and Dec 4.
Art District on Santa Fe - the original and biggest. 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., along Santa Fe Dr roughly 13th to Alameda (between Kalamath and Inca). Open galleries, local makers, food stalls, and an outdoor vendor market in season.
RiNo Art District - 6 to 9 p.m. across the River North galleries, studios, and breweries.
Tennyson Street Cultural District (Berkeley) and 40 West Arts District (Lakewood) also run First Friday walks with galleries and vendors.
One-Off & Seasonal Special Events
Not weekly markets, but farmers-market-style events worth catching when the dates land:
Prairie Harvest Fest (Aurora / Painted Prairie) - the harvest festival that caps the High Prairie Park market, around Oct. 3.
Highland Square Harvest Festival - Oct. 25, 2026, 2 to 5 p.m., on 32nd Ave between Lowell and Perry. Free, with a pumpkin patch, beer garden, and live music to close the Highlands season.
Civic Center Night Market - a downtown evening market series in Civic Center Park (the AAPI Culture Fest edition runs May 22, 5 to 10 p.m.). Food, makers, and music after dark.
Hecho en Westwood - cultural community markets on Morrison Rd with local vendors, food, and art, anchored by Cinco de Mayo en Westwood (May 2–3, 2026) and Muertos en Westwood in the fall.
Four Mile Historic Park Pumpkin Harvest Festival - a fall harvest festival with vendors and seasonal activities on the near-southeast side.
Thornton Harvest Fest - the north metro's fall festival with a market component.
Holiday & Winter Markets
When produce season ends, the holiday markets carry mid-November through December.
Denver Christkindlmarket - the authentic German-style holiday market, opening around Nov. 20, 2026, with a new home on the Auraria Campus plus anniversary touches like a carousel and glass-ornament workshops. The most atmospheric one in the city.
Cherry Creek Holiday Market - free outdoor market in Cherry Creek North (Fillmore St between 1st and 2nd) with rotating local makers, open daily from about Nov. 20 to Dec. 24, with a concert series and a festive bar.
Denver Holiday BAZAAR (Swirly Twirly Market) - several weekends of makers, treats, and lights.
Mile High Holiday Mart (Junior League of Denver) - a long-running juried holiday shopping event.
Holiday Vibe Market - the indoor Vibe artisan market's winter edition.
Horseshoe Holiday Market - the flea market's seasonal handmade-and-vintage version.
How to Do a Market Right
Go early for produce, late for deals. Serious shoppers hit the food markets right at open. The last hour is when vendors discount what's left.
Bring cash and a card. Most vendors take cards now, but the small ones and the best taco stand often don't.
Ask about SNAP / Double Up Food Bucks. Many Colorado markets accept SNAP and match it through Double Up Food Bucks, which doubles your produce dollars. Look for the info booth.
Check the dog and pet policy. Some markets are dog-friendly, some only allow service animals near food, and the Boulder County markets allow no pets at all.
Bring a bag, and a cooler for the car if you're buying meat, eggs, or cheese in summer.
What to Confirm Before You Go
Every date, time, and location above came from 2026 market and city sources, but a few details conflicted between sources - notably City Park's exact hours and closing date - and markets adjust their schedules season to season. Before you drive out, tap the market's own link for that week. The things most likely to change are the exact season start and end dates and one-off location moves (Golden's Buffalo Bill Days closure, Parker's skipped weekend, University Hills' new site). The roundups below keep the most current full lists.
Food Help, If You Need It
Markets are a great deal, but if money is tight, plenty of these accept SNAP and many match it through Double Up Food Bucks (ask at the info booth).
