The longest-running First Friday in town. 70-plus galleries throw open their doors, sidewalk vendors line the strip, and food trucks park end to end. Free, walkable, and Denver's most reliable way to bump into half the people you know in a single evening.

The art is the anchor but the social scroll is the appeal. Most galleries put up new shows the night of, so the work is fresh and the artists are usually around. Drinks at most of the openings, light bites at many.

What to Expect

From 5:30 to 9:30 pm, 20,000-plus people walk the corridor between 5th and 11th Avenues on Santa Fe Drive. Free to attend. Some galleries stay open later.

Plan Your Night

Light rail to 10th and Osage. A free shuttle loops the strip every 20 minutes if walking the full length is not your move. Eat before, or trust the food trucks. Restaurants in the district fill up fast.
